Our Techniques

Ashiatsu

Ashiatsu is a Japanese massage technique that translates to "foot pressure." It involves the therapist using their feet to provide deep, consistent pressure on the client's body.  

Benefits of Shiatsu are deep tissue relaxation, relief from muscle pain and tension, improved circulation and lymphatic drainage, enhanced flexibility and range of motion, and stress reduction and improved mood. 


Tian Di Bamboo

Tian Di Bamboo refers to a type of massage therapy that utilizes bamboo sticks to provide deep tissue work, often incorporating elements of traditional Chinese medicine and focusing on achieving balance between the body, mind, and spirit.


Neuromuscular

Neuromuscular massage is a specialized type of massage therapy that focuses on identifying and releasing trigger points within muscles, aiming to alleviate pain by directly addressing the source of muscle tension and nerve compression, often used to treat conditions like muscle strains, sports injuries, and chronic pain; it involves applying firm, sustained pressure to specific areas of the muscle to release tension and improve blood flow. 

Anma

Anma is a traditional type of Japanese deep tissue massage that uses acupoints and meridians to balance energy and treat the body. Anma is one of Japan's oldest healing arts and is the foundation for many modern Asian bodywork practices. 

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. It aims to relieve chronic pain, muscle tension, improve mobility and flexibility and promote relaxation and stress reduction.

Tui Na

Tui na is a traditional Chinese medicine bodywork therapy that involves manual manipulation of the body's soft tissues. It uses techniques such as kneading, pressing, rolling, stretching, and tapping to promote Qi (vital energy) flow, improve circulation, and relieve pain and discomfort.

Acupressure

Acupressure involves applying pressure to specific points on the body, known as acupoints. It is based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine.  

Relieves pain, such as headaches, back pain, and menstrual cramps, reduces nausea and vomiting. Improves sleep, reduces stress and anxiety and enhances digestion.

Myofascial Trigger Point

Myofascial trigger point therapy, also known as myofascial release, is a type of physical therapy that helps relieve pain and tension in muscles and surrounding tissues

The therapist applies gentle, constant pressure to locate trigger points, or knots, in the fascial tissues. The therapist kneads and stretches the fascial tissues to loosen muscles and joints

Post Natal

A post-natal massage, also known as a postpartum massage, is a full-body massage that can help new mothers recover after giving birth. It can be beneficial for both physical and emotional health. 

Shiatsu

Shiatsu massage is a Japanese form of bodywork that involves applying pressure to specific points on the body. The word "shiatsu" translates to "finger pressure."

Thai

Thai table massage is a variation of traditional Thai massage, where the therapist performs the massage techniques on a standard massage table instead of on a floor mat, utilizing stretching, pressure point activation, and body movement to promote relaxation and improve flexibility

Swedish

Swedish massage is one of the most common types of massage therapy. It's often used to relax you, relieve stress and relieve pain. Swedish massage often involves rubbing, kneading and tapping your muscles.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a technique that involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or ears. It is based on the belief that these points correspond to different organs and systems in the body. 

The therapist will use their thumbs, fingers, or special tools to massage these points, aiming to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and relieve pain or discomfort. The technique is often used as an stress-reducing measure and to support overall well-being.
